Job Purpose Provide strategic direction and leadership for the client''s LGR portfolio of programmes. Build the right foundations for the future success of local government in the region. Ensure a safe, legal and well-planned transition to the new operating model, minimising service disruption and maintaining a focus on improved outcomes and long-term sustainability. Scope System-level portfolio management and delivery of the LGR programme Lead and develop the system Portfolio Management Office and coordinate all programmes and workstreams. Work with senior officers and members to develop shadow arrangements, decision-making frameworks and implementation plans. Ensure comprehensive risk management, governance, compliance and assurance. Set and maintain the strategic roadmap, critical path and milestones. Translate political ambition into deliverable and measurable plans. Establish and maintain disciplined Portfolio Management Office arrangements. Establish strong portfolio structure and programme management arrangements
