Building Surveyor

• Hourly Rate: -22.65 PAYE per hour
• Location: Welwyn & Hatfield
• Job Type: Temporary (12 weeks)
• Hours: 37 hours per week (full-time)

We are seeking a skilled Building Surveyor to provide temporary cover within a local authority within the Resident and Climate Change team. This role is crucial for maintaining high standards in building safety and efficiency, aligning with current regulations and standards.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Conduct thorough building fault diagnosis and develop cost-effective solutions.
• Prepare detailed specifications for repairs and renovations.
• Make informed technical decisions and solve problems effectively.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations, including CDM and Building Safety Compliance legislation.
• Regularly update knowledge of building regulations, standards, and best practices to ensure all work is compliant.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• BTEC ONC and HNC in Building Studies or substantial experience in a similar role.
• Evidence of continual professional development in construction, health, and safety-related disciplines.
• Up-to-date knowledge of current building regulations and standards.
• Significant experience in building fault diagnosis and providing cost-effective solutions.
• Fully conversant with Health & Safety, Building Safety Compliance legislation, and Building Regulations.
• A valid driving licence and access to a vehicle insured for business use are essential.
