Application Support Analysts

for a grade 8 role ( £34,434 - £39,152

as of April 2025). The role involves supporting user-focused applications, ensuring their reliability and availability for application owners and users.For more details, visit our recruitment site:www.cwcrecruitment.co.uk/digitaldatatechnology-externalApplication deadline: Midnight on 7th September 2025Responsibilities include:

Operate within agreed technical standards and ITIL procedures to maintain the technical integrity of the application environment and address technical issues effectively.Operate within application management processes, including liaising with service teams and suppliers for updates, upgrades, testing, configuration management, and communication regarding service impact.Assess the fitness for purpose of applications in line with strategy and architecture.Support the implementation of new functionalities and ensure adoption by business users, including managing interfaces and integrations, and maintaining the CMDB.Understand business requirements, explore market solutions, and provide technical support for requests and issues.Continuously monitor application performance and identify improvements.Contribute to application management processes and communication with stakeholders regarding service continuity.The ideal candidate will have an NVQ Level 4 qualification in ICT or equivalent experience and meet the essential criteria outlined in the job profile.For detailed information on the role and person specifications, please review the job profile.By joining Cheshire West and Chester Council, you become part of a GOLD Investors in People (IiP) organization committed to building sustainable and thriving communities.
