Quantity Surveyor - Highways
Location: Guildford | Type: Freelance (OUTSIDE IR35) - 6 Months Duration

Randstad are seeking an exprienced project QS for work on a major highways project in Guildford.

It is essential that you have experience in subcontractor payments/procurement and working knowledge of NEC Option A/B/E ideally within the Highways Sector.

Key Responsibilities:

• Price works using Schedule of Rates and manage contract variations (Early Warnings, Compensation Events).

• Use software tools like Causeway and Kheops for cost/value reporting.

• Oversee subcontractor procurement, documentation, payments, and compliance.

• Provide contractual advice and maintain cost control through Defined Cost and pain/gain trackers.

• Attend client and supply chain meetings and promote internal management systems.

Requirements:

• Experience in Quantity Surveying (preferably in Highways).

• Strong knowledge of Schedule of Rates (essential).

• Proficiency in commercial software tools

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and organisational skills
