The Role

We are seeking a highly driven Head of Operations / Operations Director to lead our 125-strong team, including 5 direct reports, at our UK site. You will manage a cost-centre operation, focusing on key performance measures such as quality, health and safety, cost efficiency, and on-time delivery.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading and mentoring a high-performing team, building strong relationships at all levels

• Managing supply chain operations and overseeing annual Capex planning

• Driving operational excellence through weekly reporting, site meetings, and daily huddles

• Collaborating closely with project teams to support business growth and efficiency

This is a highly visible, people-focused role where your leadership, approachability, and ability to inspire teams will be key to your success.

About You

We are looking for a seasoned operations leader with a proven track record in the steel industry or a related field such as metals, machining, components, fabrication, general engineering, or technical manufacturing.
