Astute''s Power Team is partnering with a UK-based engineering and manufacturing company specialising in heavy lifting, mechanical handling, and structural engineering solutions. We are recruiting a Quantity Surveyor for their Barnsley office to assist in providing cost and revenue management on major contracts.

You will:

• Contract administration ensuring all contracts are administered correctly in a timely and professional manner.
• Identify, mitigate and manage risk and opportunities. Escalate where appropriate.
• Monitoring and driving the progress of Compensation Events, prepared by the Technical department, to agreement by liaison with the client''s representatives.
• Identify, notify and report financial concerns and areas where action is required to the project management team.
• Involve and obtain information from project key personnel in preparation of CVR reporting with the commercial Manager.
• Monitor and record site progress from information provided by the Project Manager.
• Collate the allocation of project manpower and productivity for submission to the client for applications.
• Prepare monthly progress payment applications for traditional applications or against activity schedule and follow up on payments.

We are looking for someone with the following:

• Qualified Quantity Surveyor (Degree, or HNC as a minimum)
• Experienced in M&E Quantity Surveying
• Experience working in NEC contract types.

The Commissioning Manager role would suit someone who is:
