Rotherham - Public Sector - Charity - Hybrid + Flexible working - £17+ - AAT - Senior Finance Officer Your new companyHays Accountancy and Finance South Yorkshire are working with a public sector organisation in Rotherham.Due to an internal change, the role is immediately available for an enthusiastic and innovative candidate to step in.Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will support efficient and effective delivery of strong financial management within a public sector organisation.Your new roleKey role duties will include supporting the Finance Manager and overseeing the work of the finance officers in post.You will ensure all financial records are kept to a high standard and in accordance with guidance/regulations/professional standards and deadlines set within the organisation.This role will offer an opportunity to lead in specific areas of work such as budget monitoring, audit, budget setting and year-end.What you''ll need to succeedYou will be educated to GCSE level with a minimum of 5 at grade C or above (including English and Maths), have three years'' experience working in a similar post within a finance department, experience of managing budgets, audits, experience of producing financial reports, such as income and expenditure, be proficient in MS Office and the ability to develop good working relationships with external organisations.You must be AAT qualified or working toward a senior accounting qualification.
