The Opportunity
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced-Estimator-with a background in-RC Frame projects-to join a highly respected contractor in London. This role offers genuine scope to progress into a-Senior Estimator-position in the near future, working closely with an established-Head of Estimating-on a range of technically challenging, large-scale projects.

The Role
As an Estimator, you will be an integral member of the pre-construction team, responsible for the accurate costing, preparation, and submission of tenders on complex structural projects across the capital. You''ll work under the guidance of the Head of Estimating, while taking increasing ownership of bids and commercial assessments as your experience grows.

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions for major RC frame, basement, and structural packages.
• Analyse drawings, specifications, and other tender documentation to produce accurate take-offs and pricing.
• Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations and evaluate pricing options.
• Work collaboratively with the planning, design, and delivery teams to ensure robust and accurate estimates.
• Support value engineering exercises and identify commercial opportunities or project risks.
• Attend tender reviews and presentations with senior management.
• Assist in developing estimating systems, templates, and best practices to improve team efficiency.

About You

• 4-5 years'' experience-as an Estimator within a main contractor or specialist subcontractor (ideally within RC frame, civil, or structural sectors).
• Sound technical understanding of reinforced concrete or similar large-scale construction works.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Excel.
• Confident communicator who enjoys working in a collaborative pre-construction team.
• Motivated to progress to a-Senior Estimator-role and take on greater responsibility within a well-established business.
