We are recruiting for a Sous Chef to join the kitchen team of a high-end care home in Chelmsford, known for delivering a premium dining experience to residents in a modern and well-equipped setting. The RoleWorking closely with the Head Chef, you will assist with all aspects of food preparation and kitchen management, helping to deliver beautifully presented, nutritionally balanced meals that cater to a range of dietary requirements. Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with planning and preparing meals to a high standardSupport the Head Chef with kitchen operations, stock control, and complianceEnsure food safety and cleanliness standards are maintained at all timesWork effectively with a small team of chefs and kitchen assistantsHelp to innovate and refresh menus seasonally Ideal CandidatePrevious experience as a Sous or 2nd Chef, ideally in gastro pubs, hotels or high-end careA passion for quality food and attention to detail in presentationExperience with dietary adaptations and allergy awarenessStrong teamwork, reliability, and professionalism Hours and Benefits40 hours/week over 4 days (1 weekend on, 1 off) 17.00/hour + pa
