Indirect Tax Manager (Advisory and Compliance)

Part-Time Indirect Tax Manager (Advisory and Compliance) - Remote with 1 day/fortnight onsite | 12-month contract | c.20 hours per week.This role is for a technically strong indirect tax professional looking to combine hands-on compliance oversight with high-level advisory work, supporting an international group and acting as a trusted point of contact for internal stakeholders. Working closely with senior tax leadership, you’ll ensure the business remains compliant across multiple jurisdictions while also advising on complex VAT matters, identifying opportunities for efficiencies, and safeguarding against risk.

What you’ll be doing

Overseeing the preparation and review of UK and international indirect tax filings.

Advising business units on VAT treatment, accounting, and structuring to optimise recovery and reduce costs.

Providing guidance and training to finance and operational teams to build in-house knowledge and confidence.

Reviewing processes and systems to ensure VAT coding, reporting and procedures remain robust and MTD-compliant.

Interpreting legislative changes, highlighting risk areas, and advising on how they may affect the group.

Supporting the delivery of the group’s tax strategy and ensuring policies and controls are consistently applied.

Maintaining oversight of compliance deadlines and managing tax-related records, policies, and advisory history.
