ROLE PURPOSE: The LandT Lead will oversee, coordinate and drive the delivery of excellent teaching and learning across the faculty, ensuring academic staff deliver a high-quality educational experience to students and that GBS meets the expectations of its regulators and awarding bodies for the quality of its learning, teaching and assessment . Please note: This role will require regular travel between our West London (Greenford) and East London (Stratford/Bow) campuses. They will have oversight of teaching quality, with a specific focus on observing and upskilling existing academic staff to assure a consistently high-quality academic experience for students. As a focused project, this work will run alongside and in the context of the usual teaching observation and enhancement activities of the Centre for Academic Excellence. The postholder will ensure that academic staff deliver effective teaching to our students, recognising our particular student demographic and their learning needs, and will manage the development, implementation and review of training and development initiatives that are aligned with GBS strategic priorities in learning and teaching and the student experience. The role will particularly suit candidates with experience of working with mature learners from underrepresented communities, who can bring their practical knowledge of teaching and learning, curriculum development, and student-centred approaches to improve the classroom experience of learners.
