Senior Mechanical Engineer – Utilities

Birmingham, Manchester, or Edinburgh

Contract:

Full Time – Permanent

ResponsibilitiesDesign coordination of gas projects, collaborating with clients to deliver the project scope.Lead the Mechanical Design and coordinate all involved disciplines.Support team members by providing technical support and reviewing project documentation.Ensure compliance with UK and international gas industry design codes such as IGEM/TD/1, TD/12, TD/13, TD/4, TD/3, ASME B31.8, B31.3, B31.4, and others, along with Gas Network standards.Utilize PM Group systems, procedures, and templates for mechanical and project deliverables.Contribute to proposals to meet customer needs.Ensure project delivery aligns with the execution plan and scope documents.Maintain customer satisfaction with support from the project management team.Promote PM Group’s capabilities across the business.

QualificationsDegree or equivalent in Engineering, Construction, Science, or related fields; relevant experience in the gas industry may be considered.Progressing towards Chartered Status with a recognized institution such as IMechE or IGEM.Experience in delivering complex, multi-disciplinary designs in Energy and Environment, Hydrogen, or Gas sectors.Knowledge of handling and delivering design projects.Strong organizational skills to produce quality work within deadlines and budget.Self-motivated, results-oriented, with a focus on high-quality delivery.Proactive planner, capable of resolving project challenges effectively.
