Job Title: Project Engineer

Salary: -50,000 to -70,000 + package

We''re working with one of the UK''s leading integrated design & build contractors in the water sector, and they''re looking to appoint a Project Engineer to strengthen their delivery team on a major long-term framework.

This is an excellent opportunity for a driven Project Engineer or Contracts Engineer with water treatment or infrastructure experience to join a collaborative and forward-thinking business. The role offers hybrid working, long-term career development and a strong salary and benefits package.

Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, you''ll play a key role in delivering technically and commercially successful projects, supporting with plant design, procurement strategy, programme management, and stakeholder engagement.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting the Project Manager with effective delivery against contract programme
• Managing cost data, forecasting and supporting contract reviews
• Liaising with supply chain and site teams to resolve design and procurement issues
• Monitoring subcontractor performance and managing change
• Supporting construction completion and handover documentation
• Promoting a proactive, professional and collaborative team culture

My client is looking for someone with a technical engineering background (HNC minimum), ideally with experience in water and wastewater treatment projects. You''ll be comfortable working under NEC contracts and able to liaise effectively with internal teams, suppliers and clients.

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Background in mechanical, electrical, or civil engineering
• Knowledge of NEC contracts
• Experience in procurement and supplier coordination
• Understanding of CDM and health & safety compliance
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
