We are seeking a passionate Staff Data Engineer to support the delivery of our data transformation. Working within a squad of data engineers, you will work with partners from across the business to implement the data strategy, delivering value to the organisation and achieving our goal of democratising data. You will be an advocate for our industry leading BEAM Cloud Data Platform. As an equal partner with the Product and Delivery teams you will deliver elegant and robust solutions for complex problems affecting our customers and colleagues. You will play a key role in driving our ambition to create a best-in-class data engineering function. Design, build and maintain high-quality, reliable data solutions and own it with a high degree of automation in the cloudProvide technical leadership to a small squad of engineersOwn complex tasks in the backlog and deliver them routinely with no significant issuesLead in the development of MandS standard data frameworks and policies, ensuring that they are understood and adoptedSupport other data engineers to produce clean, quality code through code reviews and pair programmingDesign, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines that adhere to ETL principles and business goalsWho you are

Demonstrable leadership mentality, business acuity, and big-picture approachExpertise in cloud-based data technologies and data warehousing design principles, preferably AzureExpert in design/build of end-to-end data solutionsDemonstrable experience with ETL tools, e.g. Databricks, SQLDemonstrable experience with Python/SQL/SparkEveryone\''s welcome
