Senior Lecturer and Year Leader in Art Direction and Visual Effects — DAY and NIGHT DRIVERS LTDCamberwell Chelsea Wimbledon | This is a full-time post for a candidate to year-lead at undergraduate level within Wimbledon College of Arts, BA Art Direction and Visual Effects course.Successful candidates will work closely with the BA Course Leader and staff as a Year Leader to deliver an inspiring undergraduate student experience. They will assume responsibility for delivering specialist teaching and academic guidance, curriculum development, and leadership within the course. The course teaches students the skills to be an art director or visual effects (VFX) artist for screen-based entertainment, with the aim of equipping students to shape the visual identity of film, television, animation and computer games. You7ll also provide academic and pastoral support, coordinate administration of specific units on the course, and contribute to curriculum development, course organisation and management.Responsibilities

Deliver specialist teaching and academic guidance at undergraduate level.Lead curriculum development and course organisation/management as Year Leader.Coordinate administration of specific units on the BA Art Direction and Visual Effects course.Support students progress with academic and pastoral guidance.Collaborate with the BA Course Leader and course staff to provide an inspiring student experience.Qualifications

Experience of teaching and assessment in a Higher Education environment (or equivalent).Production-level knowledge of workflows for Visual Effects, Computer Games or Animation.Good working knowledge of Blender and/or Maya for character and environment modelling in relation to VFX, Animation or Games production.Working knowledge of Unreal Engine.Understanding of Z-Brush or Houdini.Evidence of research, teaching, knowledge exchange and/or professional practice relevant to the Programme, College and University.Additional information
