The role centres on supporting the Engineering Manager and acting as a key technical resource within the machining function.Key Responsibilities of this CNC Manufacturing Engineer position:Create, develop, and optimise CNC programmes for mill/turn and multi axis machining operations.Support the introduction of new CNC machines and implement robust manufacturing processes from scratch.Take ownership of 70% CNC programming and 30% process engineering, ensuring both are aligned with best practice.Review drawings, models, and specifications to assess manufacturability and propose improvements (DFM).Lead and support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities, including variants of existing products.Work closely with design teams to review released drawings, provide manufacturing feedback, and suggest improvements.Conduct toolpath simulation and verification (experience with Vericut highly beneficial).Use CAM software (Solid CAM or other equivalents) to generate efficient toolpaths and machining strategies.Identify process issues, implement root cause analysis, and lead contin
