Year 4 SEN Teaching Assistant - Sefton Full-Time September 2025 Start £90-£105 per day (DOE) Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children with additional needs? Do you have the patience, resilience, and skills to support a child with ADHD and challenging behaviour to thrive in the classroom? A welcoming primary school in Sefton is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team this September. You''ll provide 1:1 support for a Year 4 pupil, helping them stay engaged, regulate their emotions, and build positive relationships throughout the school day. Key Responsibilities Delivering consistent, tailored 1:1 support for a child with ADHD and additional needs. Implementing effective behaviour management and emotional regulation strategies. Encouraging focus, motivation, and positive learning behaviours. Adapting classwork to meet individual needs and learning targets. Working closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and external agencies to ensure joined-up support. Requirements Experience working with children with ADHD and challenging behaviour. Strong behaviour management and de-escalation techniques. A calm, consistent, and nurturing approach to support pupil engagement. Resilience, empathy, and the ability to build trusting relationships.
