Brokerage OfficerLocation: Hackney, LondonContract Type: LocumRate: 22.15 PAYE / 29.85 Umbrella About the Role:Hackney Council is seeking a proactive and experienced Brokerage Officer to join their Adult Services Review and Commissioning Team. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the delivery of high-quality care services across the borough, supporting vulnerable adults including older people, those with learning disabilities, and individuals with mental health needs. Key Responsibilities:Source and broker care placements and support packages in line with assessed needs.Work closely with care management, hospital discharge, and finance teams to ensure timely and cost-effective service delivery.Maintain accurate records on Mosaic systems.Negotiate with providers to ensure value for money and identify potential savings.Support market management initiatives and contribute to the development of new providers.Respond effectively to urgent placement needs and maintain business continuity.Requirements:Previous experience in a brokerage or commissioning role within adult social care.Strong negotiation and communication skills.Familiarity with Mosaic systems.Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities.Knowledge of the adult social care market and relevant legislation.
