Main Responsibilities

• Oversee the company''s finance function, including management accounts, cashflow, leases for equipment, and purchase ledger.
• Prepare and manage the company''s day-to-day financial operations, ensuring smooth and accurate reporting.
• Develop and manage financial forecasts and budgets, providing insightful analysis to senior management.
• Collaborate with the management team to support decision-making and implement financial strategies.
• Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, liaising with third-party auditors for statutory accounts and audits.
• Review and optimise financial processes and controls to improve efficiency and support business growth.
• Monitor cashflow, working capital, and capital expenditures, providing guidance on financial performance.
• Assist in the management of the company''s tax and VAT obligations, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.

Required

• Ideally, experience in the agricultural or fresh produce industry, with a strong understanding of the sector''s requirements.
• Proven experience in a similar finance role, including management accounts, cashflow management, and financial reporting.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of the finance function in a busy, fast paced environment.
• A proactive, solutions-focused attitude, with the ability to drive improvements and implement new ideas.
• Strong organisational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
