Responsibilities and duties of the Senior Electrical Engineer role

Within the role you will:

• Lead and manage the electrical design process, from feasibility through to detailed design and delivery
• Act as a key client interface, attending and leading meetings while representing the business professionally
• Develop design briefs, project criteria, and costed engineering solutions aligned with client requirements
• Oversee project delivery, including coordination with multidisciplinary teams and monitoring quality of design and installation
• Support and mentor junior engineers while contributing to team development and technical excellence
• Manage project budgets, tender processes, and commercial aspects including proposals and cost control

Professional qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

• Strong experience in electrical design within the Building Services sector
• Proven ability to manage projects and lead design processes
• Knowledge of current British Standards and industry regulations
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to produce and review technical calculations, drawings, and specifications
• Strong understanding of multidisciplinary coordination within construction projects
