VGC Group are delighted to be recruiting for an Ecologist on behalf of our client based in Suffolk.This role is offered on a full time, contract basis with an end date of 31st March 2026.The Ecologist will support the Environmental Sustainability Manager and wider Environmental Team in the coordination and delivery of ecological mitigation, legislative compliance, and ecological protection during construction activities on the project. The Ecologist will also contribute to toolbox talks, site briefings, and regular ECoW training and support sessions. They will be responsible for maintaining high ecological standards across the site and for supporting the ongoing improvement of ecological performance and assurance Role duties -Lead on the delivery of ecological requirements as set out in project documentation, licences, and statutory approvals. -Support the development and implementation of ecological method statements and management plans. -Maintain and support updates to the environmental management system in response to changes in ecological standards, client requirements, or legislation, liaising with the senior team lead as required. -Lead or support investigations into ecological incidents or non-conformances, and report findings with recommended corrective actions. -Provide on-site ecological advice to operations and design teams, including mitigation for protected species, vegetation clearance, and pollution control. -Deliver ecological toolbox talks, briefings, and
