Hours: 40 hours per week

We’re looking for a Senior Electrical Project Engineer to join a high-performing UK-based engineering team working across a diverse portfolio of automated systems and infrastructure projects.

If you’re a detail-oriented electrical engineer with a passion for system design, compliance, and innovation, this role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development and delivery of large-scale, high-impact engineering solutions both in the UK and internationally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review order documentation and assess feasibility in line with technical requirements and project standards.

  • Define and plan engineering deliverables in consultation with the Project Leader Engineering (PLE).

  • Monitor and report progress, including hours worked and any deviations, to the PLE.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to determine appropriate electrical components and interfaces.

  • Design and calculate full electrical control systems, including supply, power distribution, control cabinets, field wiring, cable routing, and mechanical supports.

  • Perform key calculations including power requirements, cable sizing, layout, and selectivity assessments.

  • Produce accurate control drawings and technical documentation for use by manufacturers, site teams, and subcontractors.

  • Ensure designs comply with relevant procedures, safety standards, and regulations.

  • Manage and safeguard the integrity of electrical design throughout the lifecycle of the project.

  • Conduct quality control and contribute to data and document management processes.

  • Support continuous process improvement and self-development through ongoing learning and collaboration.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience in electrical design for industrial and low-voltage installations.

  • Proficiency with design tools such as AutoCAD and EPLAN.

  • Strong knowledge of electro-technology or energy systems (formal qualification preferred).

  • Familiarity with industrial networks such as ProfiNet, AS-i Bus, and Profibus.

  • Understanding of electrical components used in Material Handling Systems.

  • A structured, collaborative approach to problem-solving and engineering design.

  • Ability to manage technical responsibilities while supporting cross-disciplinary teams.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Electrical Engineer looking to take the next step in their career and work on complex, forward-thinking engineering projects. If you're ready to bring your expertise to a collaborative and ambitious environment, we’d love to hear from you.
