The Opportunity

We are looking for an exceptional Commercial Manager to play a pivotal role in the growth and development of this-packaging-handling systems business. This is a genuinely rare position one that sits at the intersection of commercial strategy, engineering innovation, and customer partnership.

You''ll work closely with project engineers and customers to deliver optimised, cost-effective solutions, while leading the development of commercial processes that drive efficiency, quality and profitability. What You''ll Be Doing

• Supporting new and existing business development to advance, compete and differentiate world-class conveyor/handling systems from the competition
• Leading the development, performance and maintenance of commercial processes to maximise efficiency, service quality and profitability
• Collaborating with project engineers and customers to deliver optimised, cost-effective engineering solutions
• Reviewing and developing operational processes to enhance the design function and improve customer communication
• Travelling UK and internationally to support business growth and customer relationships

What We''re Looking For

This role calls for someone who combines technical depth with commercial acumen a lateral thinker who is as comfortable reviewing a SolidWorks model as they are negotiating a commercial proposal.

Essential:

• Minimum 5 years'' experience in a design, commercial or technical engineering role
• Minimum 2 years in a commercial role
• HNC or higher in Mechanical Engineering
• In-depth understanding of-material handling equipment/systems
• Proven experience of engineering design principles related to material handling equipment
• Strong CAD / SolidWorks proficiency
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and relevant business systems

The right person will also be:

• A clear, confident communicator at all levels
• Customer-centric with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset
• Comfortable navigating ambiguity and complexity
• Detail-oriented without losing sight of the bigger picture
