We are working on behalf of a local authority client to recruit a Homelessness Reviews and Quality Assurance Officer for a 3-4-month contract. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced housing professional to join a high-performing team and support key areas of the service relating to statutory homelessness reviews, complaints, and service quality. The role offers flexible hybrid working with 2 days required in the office each week. As part of the Housing Operations Service, you will play a key role in leading the Section 202 review function, enhancing service delivery through quality assurance, supporting temporary accommodation strategy, and contributing to performance improvement across the housing team. Key Responsibilities Lead on statutory Section 202 homelessness reviews, ensuring timely and legally compliant decisions. Provide expert advice to senior managers, members, and colleagues on homelessness, housing advice, and allocations. Draft responses to MP enquiries and complex complaints, identifying service improvement opportunities. Support the delivery and management of temporary accommodation and help reduce reliance on bed and breakfast. Carry out quality reviews of decision-making across the housing team to support continuous improvement. Maintain expert knowledge on legal and policy developments in homelessness and housing.
