Sub Agent - Rail - North west - Permanent

Sub Agent currently required to join a large railway contractor delivering a number of high profile projects across the North West.  The works involve a number of bridge replacements, station works, P-way and associated civils works.  The projects are multidisciplinary, and the role will require someone with a good understanding of civils, p-way, S&T and OLE.

Requirements:

• Recognised industry qualification, in civil engineering, construction management or other associated subject
• Able to demonstrate excellent understanding of civil engineering principles within a railway environment
• Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role such as Section Engineer or Senior Engineer
• Current & valid PTS
• Able to work nights and weekends where required

The role will involve:

• Overseeing day-to-day engineering and construction activities on site
• Planning works in accordance with design, access and and necessary time-scales
• Undertaking quality assurance and ensuring all works are carried out in accordance with Network Rail standards, design requirements and an a safe manner
• Completing project paperwork including ITP''s, WPP''s and Task briefings where required
• Assisting with the completion of SSOW packs where required
• Monitoring sub-contractors on site
