My client is looking to employ a Technical Assistant based in Barking The Technical Assistant will report directly to the Technical Manager and will be part of a small Technical team. The successful candidate will be responsible for upholding food safety and quality procedures. Duties and responsibilities Monitoring and verification of quality control checks ensuring compliance with customer specifications. Carrying out GMP audits against Food Safety and Quality Policies and Procedures Carrying out Fabrication and Glass and Plastic audits against Food Safety and Quality Policies and Procedures Coordinate actions for non-conformances with relevant teams to effectively implement corrective and preventative actions. Training of operatives in relation to food safety and quality requirements Assisting with external audits such as BRCGS. Assisting with completing export product checks and paperwork Complete designated tasks as defined in the quality management and HACCP system. Essential Criteria: Food Related Qualification or proven related experience Knowledge of HACCP principles IT Literate Excellent organisation and communication skills Competent in record keeping Motivated with ability to work on own initiative Have a can-do attitude and commitment to safety Flexibility towards working hours Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
