Our client, a leading organisation in the Defence and Security sector, is currently seeking a Senior Product Safety Engineer to join their team on a contractual basis in Glascoed, South Wales.Key Responsibilities:Production of documentary evidence to support the production of a Safety and Environmental Case (SEC).Creating and maintaining product Hazard Logs.Contributing to the business requirement to deliver conforming product.Undertaking safety reviews of engineering designs to ensure compliance with the Product Safety and Environment Management Framework, business policies, procedures and associated management plans.Provide support and advice to the Design Organisation on matters relating to product safety for projects and bids.Undertaking a range of techniques for conducting Hazard Identification, Analysis and Risk Assessment, for example FMEAs, FTAs.Job Requirements:Experience as a Safety Engineer within the defence sectorStrong understanding of safety management principles and practicesKnowledge of relevant safety regulations and standardsProficiency in hazard identification and risk assessment techniquesExcellent technical writing and communication skillsAbility to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teamsRelevant engineering degree or equivalent qualificationExperience of Def Stan 00-056 and DSA 03.OME (formerly JSP 520)If you are an experienced Safety Engineer with a background in product safety and a passion for working within the Defence and Security sector,
