The Role

As a Vehicle Technician, you will carry out the full range of mechanical and electrical repairs and maintenance across a variety of vehicles. Day-to-day duties include:

• Diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults using industry-standard diagnostic equipment
• Performing repairs and maintenance on engines, transmissions, braking systems, suspension, and electrical systems
• Conducting thorough vehicle inspections in line with manufacturer specifications
• Maintaining accurate workshop records of all inspections, repairs, and parts used
• Ensuring all work meets health and safety regulations and company procedures
• Delivering excellent customer service and communicating repair requirements clearly to customers

Hours & Pay

• Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 (dependent on experience)
• Bonus scheme: negotiable for the right candidate
• Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm (flexible)
• Saturday overtime: available for those who want it
• Holiday: 28 days per year including bank holidays

Essential Requirements

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair 
• Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician or Automotive Technician
• Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills
• Ability to troubleshoot complex vehicle faults independently
• Solid knowledge of vehicle systems and routine maintenance procedures
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage workload in a fast-paced workshop
• Good communication skills and a professional, customer-focused attitude
