TeacherActive is proud to be working with a range of welcoming and community-focused primary schools across Fishguard and the wider Pembrokeshire area. These schools are known for their inclusive ethos, small class sizes, and strong focus on supporting learners with Additional Learning Needs (ALN) to thrive both academically and emotionally.

The schools are looking to appoint a 1-2-1 Teaching Assistant on a part time, temporary basis with an immediate start. The successful 1-2-1 Teaching Assistant will work closely with individual learners with ALN, providing tailored support, encouraging engagement, and assisting with day-to-day classroom activities while promoting independence and confidence.

The successful 1-2-1 Teaching Assistant will have:

• Experience supporting children with ALN on a 1-2-1 basis
• A good understanding of supporting additional learning needs such as ASD, ADHD or behavioural needs
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A patient and nurturing approach
• A proactive and flexible attitude
