Our client is seeking a SEND Teacher to plan and deliver high-quality, inclusive teaching that meets the diverse needs of pupils with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, evidence-informed lessons tailored to individual pupil needs, including those with SEND and trauma backgrounds
  • Use assessment data to monitor progress and adapt teaching strategies
  • Promote pupils'' social, emotional, and academic development through therapeutic and trauma-informed approaches
  • Maintain high expectations for behaviour and learning in line with policies and professional standards
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and specialist staff to provide effective support
Requirements
  • Proven experience teaching pupils with complex needs and challenging behaviour
  • Strong understanding of curriculum, assessment, and behaviour management in specialist settings
  • Ability to plan, deliver, and assess effective teaching and learning
  • Commitment to safeguarding and maintaining professional standards
  • Resilience, empathy, adaptability, and a passion for supporting vulnerable pupils
  • QTS/QTLS qualification
