Salary: -40,000 - -45,000 per annum (plus benefits)
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, with occasional weekend work as required.
About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Field Service Technician to join a prestigious manufacturer based in Keighley. In this role, you''ll be responsible for carrying out routine and preventive maintenance, fault diagnosis, and repairs on large CNC machine tools ensuring optimal machine performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out routine and preventive maintenance on large CNC machine tools.
- Conduct basic testing on all machine systems.
- Respond promptly to breakdowns, diagnose faults, and carry out safe, timely repairs.
- Provide technical support to customers as part of the service team.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with customers and site personnel.
- Manage tools, equipment, and supplies required for maintenance and repairs.
- Assist colleagues with on-site repair, servicing, and testing activities.
- Prepare documentation including service reports, method statements, and quotes.
- Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of machine systems to improve troubleshooting and repair efficiency.
- Comply with all company and legislative health and safety requirements.
- Participate in health and safety initiatives and improvement activities.
- Engineering Certificate or equivalent qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 3).
- Proven experience using own initiative to identify mechanical & electrical faults and carry out repairs.
- Proficient in the disassembly, assembly, and repair of machine tools and components.
- Strong understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, and CNC machine operation.
- Skilled in diagnosing equipment issues using specialised diagnostic tools and test equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic engineering drawings.
- Experience troubleshooting PLC and NC controls (Desirable)
- Sound knowledge of the Health and Safety at Work Act and related legislation.
- Strong PC skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
- Competitive salary of -40,000 - -45,000 per annum.
- Working away allowance provided.
- Working away 3 - 5 days out of the week.
- Mileage rates covered for travel (use of own vehicle required)
