Engineering Project Manager

We are seeking a proactive and hands-on Engineering Project Manager to lead the delivery of bespoke machine projects from concept to installation.

This role suits a driven individual with a background in mechanical engineering and commercial project management. You'll work closely with engineering, production, and external stakeholders, combining strong coordination skills with a practical, on-the-ground approach. You will be ultimately starting the division from scratch, building from the ground up with a view to grow the team in the future.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage full lifecycle of machine build projects – from handover to installation

• Ensure delivery on time, within budget, and to required quality standards

• Communicate regularly with clients and internal teams, providing updates and reports

• Support production with a hands-on approach during machine build phases

• Maintain and manage all project documentation and compliance certifications (CE, UL, UKCA)

• Coordinate risk assessments in collaboration with QHSE

• Ensure accurate record-keeping within ERP systems (e.g., Epicor)

• Track and manage risks, resources, and project outputs

• Develop SOPs and support continuous process improvements

• Occasional international travel for project support

Skills & Experience

Essential:

• Project management experience in an engineering or technical setting

• Practical engineering knowledge

• Proficient in CAD and Microsoft Office

• ERP/MRP system experience

• Strong Character to come in and change policies 

Desirable:

• AutoCAD (Inventor/Vault), Epicor

• PRINCE2 or similar certification

• Relevant engineering qualification
