CNC Turner Job Summary: Are you a skilled CNC Turner searching for a position with a reputable and well-established local manufacturer? Do you thrive in precision engineering, possess a strong grasp of the turning process, and excel at maintaining tight tolerances and superior surface finishes? My client is a long-standing company specialising in the production of high-quality, low-volume tubular and threaded parts for sectors such as Aerospace, Oil and Gas, and Defense. Experience Required Proven time served experience in programming, setting and operating 2 axis turning machines. Ability to write new CNC programs long hand at the machine with little or no supervision. Also, editing prewritten programs, the full machine setup including material, tooling, speeds, feeds. Carry out in-process inspection using measuring equipment. Producing one off, as well as low to medium volume precision parts in a range of hard and soft metals. Excellent working knowledge of 2 axis CNC machines, cutting speeds and feeds, geometric tolerances. Solid understanding of interpreting engineering drawings and standards. Experience of Fanuc controls would be advantageous. Have a strong working history within the manufacturing industry within a machine shop environment. Have a hands-on, quality driven, positive, self-motivated manner in order to be able to hit the ground running.
