Position: Senior Quantity Surveyor (Permanent)
Salary: £50,000 – £60,000 per annum
Location: Birmingham
Sector: Heavy Civils 

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a Tier 1 Contractor on major heavy civils projects in Birmingham. This permanent role offers the opportunity to work on complex, high-value infrastructure schemes, playing a key part in commercial management and project delivery.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the commercial and contractual aspects of large-scale civil engineering projects.

• Oversee cost planning, forecasting, and reporting.

• Administer contracts (NEC / JCT) and manage subcontractor procurement, valuations, and final accounts.

• Ensure compliance with client requirements and contractual obligations.

• Work closely with project teams to monitor progress, mitigate risks, and maximise value.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally at Senior level, within heavy civils / infrastructure.

• Background working with Tier 1 contractors or major clients.

• Strong knowledge of NEC contracts and commercial processes.

• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline (preferred).

Salary dependent on experience and package assigned accordingly
