CK Group are recruiting for a Project Design Engineer to join a multinational, multi-industry company, on a contract basis initially till the end of March 2026 with a high likelihood of further extension. Salary: Up to 537.50 per day (Inside IR35) The main purpose of this contract will be to provide technical expertise in the design and installation of Substation Layouts for 400kV to 11kV substation projects. Duties and responsibilities:To develop technical specifications and material schedules for primary equipmentTo provide substation layouts and associated detail diagrams in accordance with established UK standardsTo check and approve project documentationTo produce engineering time estimates and support monthly forecasts to complete.To input into design and hazard review meetingsYour Background:HNC/HND in related engineering fieldKnowledge of Transmission or Distribution practices (400kV to 11 kV)Knowledge of various relevant industry standards including National Grid / SSE / SPEN / DNO requirementsThe Company: Our client is a multinational company in a range of industries including, renewable energy.
