Systems Engineer (MILSATCOMS)Portsmouth 6-Month contract Paying up to 55p/h (Inside IR35) Responsibilities:Requirements capture and definition from stakeholder needs through to sub-systems; ownership of traceability and verification.Verification Validation and Test (VVandT) supportGround System level architectural design definition and trade-offsWorking with Engineering Leads and Partners to define the segment and associated sub-system architectures via integrated Working GroupsTechnical proposal inputsSolution Lead for customer and internal governance reviewsTechnical support to bidding teamsSystems Engineering and project management inputs as required - to support planning, schedule and cost activitiesInform stakeholders on progress and problem resolution Experience:University degree or equivalent in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or related disciplineExperience in the design, integration and roll out of end-to-end digital telecommunications systems (milsatcom desirable) covering space, control and ground segments using Waterfall or Agile methodologiesExperience of defining solutions within an Architectural Framework using Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and appropriate tools (EA desirable)Experience of engagement with customers and partnersWorking understanding of portfolios in terms of satellite platforms and payloads, satellite control, mission control, network controlRobust presentation and writing skills Disclaimer:This vacancy is
