About the role Developing resilient embedded systems and the high quality, reliable, robust, performant and maintainable software that runs on them. Hardware used will include the PIC range of microcontrollers and Microchip development environments, Atmel microcontrollers such as ATmega328, ESP32 microcontrollers, and similar. Software languages used will vary at need but typically involves low-level C or C++. Operating systems will include embedded Linux distributions such as those produced by Yocto and Buildroot, and the tooling used to produce them. A strong understanding of Yocto for building the above is a requirement of the role.
