Plumber - Band 6 (Sth) - Facilities Management and Building Services Location: Tyne and Wear Depot/Base: Middlefields Industrial Estate, South Shields Contract Type: Temporary Duration: 1 June 2026 - 31 August 2026 Hours: 37 hours per week Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 16:30 Pay Rate: £16.62 per hour Job Overview We are currently seeking an experienced Plumber - Band 6 (Sth) to join the Facilities Management and Building Services team based in Tyne and Wear. This is a temporary role supporting maintenance and repair works across a range of commercial and public sector buildings. Key Responsibilities Carry out plumbing installation, maintenance, and repair work Diagnose and resolve plumbing faults efficiently Ensure all work is completed to health and safety standards Respond to reactive maintenance requests Complete planned preventative maintenance tasks Work independently and as part of a wider maintenance team Requirements NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Plumbing Previous experience in facilities maintenance or building services Ability to work from technical drawings and specifications Good understanding of health and safety procedures Full UK driving licence preferred
