Senior Support Worker Brand-New Children''s Home (Autism, L/D, Complex Needs) Birmingham Location: Birmingham Salary: Up to £30,000 per annum Contract: Full-Time Permanent Shifts: Long shifts and regular sleep-ins required Experience: Essential must have experience in similar children s residential settingsWe re supporting the launch of a new residential home in Birmingham, designed to provide therapeutic, person-centred care to children and young people with Autism, Learning Disabilities, and complex needs. We re looking for strong, compassionate professionals who can help shape a high-quality care environment from day one.What You ll Be Doing: Act as a role model to junior staff and provide leadership on shiftDeliver high-quality, individualised care and support to young people with autism, L/D, and complex needsSupport the Deputy and Registered Manager with daily operations, team coordination and care planningPromote positive behaviour through a therapeutic, trauma-informed approachOversee and contribute to risk assessments, support plans, and safeguarding processesMaintain accurate and up-to-date records, incident reports, and daily logsParticipate in multi-agency working, attending meetings and advocating for the young peopleSupport new staff with mentoring, induction, and trainingEngage in long shifts and regular sleep-ins as part of a consistent, stable care routine What We''re Looking For: Minimum Level 2 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent essential
