Hexagon Recruitment are seeking a Freight Operations individual to join the team at one of our most prestigious clients based in Dartford, Essex.

Background/skills needed:

• Providing a high level of customer service
• Completing customs entries for air exports/ imports
• Monitoring of urgent AOG/Ship Spares updates, resolve customer and supplier queries efficiently and adapt quickly to changing parameters of the shipment
• Strong knowledge of air & sea freight operations and documentation
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Proactive approach to problem-solving and customer service
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and customer needs
• Experience with AOG handling and time-critical shipments. Ship Spares shipment handling would be a bonus
• Arranging collection/delivery from/to vendors

General Duties:

• Dealing with AOG/Ship Spares shipments start-finish
• Dealing with exports/imports/cross-trade shipments
• HM Customs entries
• Quoting customers
• Sending pre-alerts
• File creation from cradle to grave
• Responding to urgent queries and requests from customers for urgent shipments
• Handling key accounts
