The Interim Communications Officer will support the development and delivery of the council''s communication strategy.Client DetailsMy client is a local council looking to add an Interim Communications Officer to the team.DescriptionThe successful Interim Communications Officer will have the following responsibilities:Support the development and delivery of key organisational messages and campaigns for external and internal audiences, embedding digital communications in everything we doEnsure the use of the council''s corporate identity and ensure correct use by all council staff and partnersOffer support to all services in the council to ensure excellent standards for all campaigns and communicationsTake complex messages and translate them into readable and engaging copy and ensure consistency and accuracy of messagesMake best use of digital communication including social media to engage residents, promote stories and raise the profile of the council.ProfileThe successful Interim Communications Officer will have:Demonstrable experience in a similar communications role - you will be a true communications all-rounder!Experience within local government - ideally working with councils - essentialExcellent communication skillsThe ability to hit the ground running!Job OfferShort term contract - 18.14 per hourEssex based - twice a week in the office.
