.We are currently recruiting for an Events and Groups Sales Manager
for The May Fair Hotel.
The Role
The Events and Groups Sales Manager will be responsible for maximising groups and M and E revenue, hotel profit and customer satisfaction goals be developing and implementing M and E Sales strategies, including proactive selling techniques, diary management and pricing strategy across various segments . You will be an experienced and highly driven individual with strong commercial and analytical skills to direct the M and E team and Revenue Management team as to the perfect M and E business.The key focus will be on non residential and social business.You will liase with prospective clients to understand their needs and preferences and will create customised packages and proposals for clients along with conducting comprehensive site visits.You will maintain strong relationships with Event Planners and will identify future business opportunities where possible.You will participate in monthly forecasting and conversion conversations brining input from a sales perspective.You will develop action plans for Event Sales along with objectives and strategies to meet each of the segments.You will stay up to date with industry trends and competitor activity.You will ensure collaboration with other departments within the hotel to ensure the seamless execution of events.You will play a part in providing guidance and support to other team members and will assist in overall team development.You will ensure that exceptional customer service is provided at all times.Qualifications and skills :Proven experience within 4 or 5 star hotels in a similar sales role.Familiarisation with Salesforce, Delphi and Opera desired.You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skillsYou will have a strong sales acumen with the ability to understand and negotiate contractsYou will be able to maintain a pipeline of prospective business opportunitiesYou will have a high level of attention to detail and a positive attitude towards teamwork.You will have a passion for hospitality and for making every event a success.Our Benefits Package:Competitive salary28 days Holiday per annum including Bank Holidays increasing with long serviceComplimentary hot meals, salad bar and unlimited beverages
