If so, St Giles is looking for an Emergency Department Navigator to join our team and provide vital support for young people admitted to the hospital, guiding them through to their safe discharge and ensuring access to appropriate long-term support.About St Giles Trust

Working as an integral part of the ED Navigator team, the successful candidate will identify and assess young victims of violence, providing comprehensive and holistic assessments, advice, referrals, and support services. They will explore innovative ways to support clients, reducing their risk of re-victimisation. Responsibilities include producing support and risk management plans, promoting inter-agency collaboration, delivering holistic support (including social and housing support, appointment accompaniment, ETE options, and court appearances), and developing relationships with partner agencies to facilitate ongoing support.We are seeking a flexible, empathetic, and collaborative individual with substantial experience in providing support, advice, advocacy, and effective communication of clients'' needs to professionals. The candidate should have a proven track record of assessing the needs of vulnerable young people at high risk of harm.Minimum requirements

Personal or lived experience related to the criminal justice system or issues faced by this client group, including working with high-risk, vulnerable children, young people, and families.Experience working as part of a multi-agency team.Experience using support plans to enable access to services.Significant experience engaging with challenging young people.A relevant qualification or working towards one.Knowledge of services available for young people and their families in the area.Excellent interpersonal, relationship-building, and communication skills, both verbal and written.Successful candidates must undergo an Enhanced DBS check due to contact with vulnerable participants and colleagues.Benefits
