Our current AMP7 frameworks have been rolled over into AMP8 (to 2030), securing our place in the region for many years to come.Role summary

As a Principal Civil Engineer you\''ll work on projects that make a real difference to our environment and our communities - enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of water and wastewater treatment systems. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the civil functions throughout the lifecycle of various projects. From concept design to commissioning, you will ensure that all civil aspects are meticulously considered and integrated.Responsibilities

Lead and oversee the design, planning, and execution of civil engineering on projects.Provide design support and guidance for schemes and ensure designs are fit for purpose and meet current legislation and standardsWork closely with commercial, operational and construction teams to develop efficient, practical and safe solutions throughout design stages, construction and beyondEngage with the client, managing relationships and adopting a one-team approach to support their aimsManage interfaces and integration of the civil design with other disciplines and production of documentationAct as technical checker on project documents, and undertake technical reviews for projects across teamsIdentify opportunities to improve delivery processes including development and implementation of standard designs, sustainable solutions, and digital toolsUndertake site reviews to ensure buildability of solutions and integration within existing systemsSupport the development of the civil engineering team, coaching and mentoring engineers to develop their skill setWhat you\''ll need

Degree in Civil Engineering, or related fieldChartership (CEng) with a relevant Engineering InstitutionMinimum of 10 years of experience in civil engineering including hydraulic and concrete structure designProven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlinesExperience of delivering high quality outputs in accordance with design, quality and safety standardsAbility to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholdersA willingness to travel to sites across your operational regionPreferred skills

Experience with sustainable design and green building practicesProficiency in civil engineering software and toolsStrong understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards applicable within the water and wastewater sectorExperience of temporary works designWhat\''s in it for you
