Private Client Legal Secretary

An opportunity has arisen for a Legal Secretary to join the Private Client department of a well-established law firm. This full-time, permanent role offers a competitive salary and benefits.As a Legal Secretary, you will be providing secretarial and administrative support to a Private Client department, helping to ensure the smooth running of client transactions and legal processes.They are looking for two candidates, one in Royal Wootton Bassett and one in Chippenham.You will be responsible for:Handling administrative tasks linked to client matters and case filesManaging fee earner diaries and coordinating appointmentsTyping legal correspondence, drafting straightforward legal documents, photocopying, filing, and handling incoming post and emailsPreparing files for billing and supporting with general office processesScreening calls and liaising with clients in a professional and empathetic mannerEnsuring accurate client communication and updates throughout transactionsMaintaining compliance with relevant legal standards and basic accounts proceduresWhat we are looking for:Previous experience as a Legal Secretary, ideally within a Private Client departmentA calm, professional, and flexible approach to workExcellent written and verbal communication skillsCompetent IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office applicationsAbility to work well under pressure and manage changing prioritiesStrong interpersonal skills and a collaborative team mindsetSound general administrative backg
