HGV Class 1 Shunter Driver - Enfield People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Shunter Driver to join our well-established client based in Enfield. Shifts • Rota basis Sunday to Friday• Start times between 18:00 and 06:00 Rates of Pay • £21.50 per hour (basic hours)• Overtime and weekend rates from £24.07 per hour Benefits • Excellent hourly rates• Ongoing work• Weekly pay• Training provided• Immediate starts Day-to-Day Duties • Shunting 45ft and double-deck trailers onto allocated bays• Operating and driving Class 1 vehicles safely and efficiently as required• Carrying out daily yard checks in line with site rules and health and safety guidelines• Ensuring all trailers and loads are positioned safely and correctly• Adhering to all traffic laws and site regulations• Communicating effectively with transport and warehouse teams (radio use essential)• Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management• Covering trunking routes when required Essential Skills • Valid UK Category CE driving licence• Minimum of 2 years'' experience driving and shunting• Valid Driver CPC card and Digital Tachograph card• No more than six penalty points for minor offences (no major endorsement codes)• Good spoken and written English• Punctual with strong time-keeping skills• Good understanding of traffic laws and site safety rules•
