Registered Manager

We''re thrilled to announce that Agincare is expanding, taking over four care homes across the Buckinghamshire area. We are currently looking for an experienced and motivated Registered Manager to lead The Chestnuts Care Home in Aylesbury, a 64-bed residential service.
As the Registered Manager at The Chestnuts Care Home, you''ll be at the heart of delivering exceptional, person-centred care, leading a dedicated team to ensure our residents feel valued, supported, and truly at home.As the Registered Manager, you will lead the team to provide a safe, caring, responsive, and effective service for the residents in your care home, ensuring delivery of the highest possible care standards fully compliant with all CQC statutory regulations, whilst achieving your operational and quality assurance KPIs. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:Ensuring all residents understand the care and treatment choices available to them, promoting choice, dignity, and individuality.Reviewing existing care provision to meet current physical and mental health needs, liaising with residents, staff, health professionals, social workers, and other interested parties to adapt plans accordingly.Carrying out audits to assess service quality and taking corrective actions if concerns arise.Implementing effective risk assessments to protect residents and ensure safety.Inducting new staff and ensuring ongoing training, motivation, supervision, and support for existing staff.Managing disciplinary and developmental actions as needed.Staffing the home effectively to meet residents'' needs, with contingency plans for unexpected absences.Investigating complaints related to safeguarding, abuse, or service delivery, and ensuring proper notifications and duty of candour are followed.Qualifications and experience required:Minimum of 12 months right to work in the UK.Management qualification at QCF level 4 or equivalent, or willingness to work towards it.QCF level 4 or higher in Health and Social Care or equivalent.Previous registration in a residential service preferred.Up-to-date knowledge of the care sector, including care home operations and regulatory frameworks.Excellent leadership and management skills.Experience working with vulnerable client groups.Flexibility for 40 hours per week.About Agincare
