Empowering Learning are working with a Primary and a Secondary Sepcial Needs School in Wakefield who are seeking Teaching Assistants/Behaviour Support Workers to support in their classrooms on a 1:1 basis or within small groups. These roles are to start ASAP. These roles will be temp to perm.You will be involved in classroom duties and off-site recreational activities, supporting children with Autism, ADHD and Challenging Behaviours. Duties - Assist the lead teacher in implementing educational programs and activities for students.- Provide support to students with special needs, including those with autism.- Assist in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.- Help students with daily tasks, such as personal care and hygiene.- Support students in their academic and social development.- Collaborate with the lead teacher to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students.- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the lead teacher.- Assist with classroom management and behaviour management strategies.
