Primary Teaching Assistant - Monmouth

Are you passionate about supporting children in their learning and development?
Academics is working closely with a number of primary schools in Monmouth and nearby areas to find enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistants to provide both 1:1 support and general classroom assistance.

This is a fantastic opportunity to make a genuine impact on children''s education while gaining valuable experience across a range of schools and year groups.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support for pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN)
• Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
• Support small groups of pupils to reinforce key learning objectives
• Help maintain a safe, nurturing, and positive classroom environment
• Contribute to classroom behaviour management strategies
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff, SENCOs, and other school professionals

What We''re Looking For:

• Previous experience working with children (in a school or childcare setting is desirable)
• A caring, patient, and adaptable approach to support
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
• Two relevant professional references
