What you will be doing
As a Site Engineer - Civil Engineering, you will support the delivery of a major infrastructure scheme. You will be:
·Carrying out surveying and setting out duties on site
·Reviewing drawings and quantities to ensure accuracy
·Planning and organising site activities to meet programme deadlines
·Coordinating materials and liaising with procurement teams
·Communicating with consultants, subcontractors, and the wider project team
·Supervising site labour and subcontractor performance
·Ensuring compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental standards
·Maintaining quality records and resolving technical issues
·Arranging material testing and calibration of instruments
·Keeping accurate and detailed site records and diaries
·Identifying and implementing improvements on site
·Supporting the Site Manager and Section Engineer as required
What you will need to succeed
To be successful in this Site Engineer - Civil Engineering role, you will ideally have:
·A degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Project Management
·Proven experience working as a Site Engineer within civil engineering
·Strong setting out and surveying skills
·Excellent communication and coordination abilities
·Experience working on highways, rail, or public realm projects (desirable)
·Familiarity with AutoCAD, GPS, and surveying equipment (desirable)
·Understanding of construction materials and testing processes (desirable)
·Valid CSCS (or equivalent), Health & Safety knowledge, and First Aid certification
